Eurocadres reaffirms our commitment to ensuring that psychosocial risks are kept on the European agenda, with one-quarter of European workers believing that their safety or health is at risk because of their work.
The European Parliament have called for legislative action twice in 2022, only to receive indifference from other institutions. Trade unions must continue to push the European Council, Member States and the European Commission to follow the Parliament’s call to action.
In light of renewed action from EU-OSHA and Eurofound, and with the impact of digitalisation and telework, we call for further research to be commissioned to evaluate the severity of the psychosocial risk crisis, along with a European directive, to protect workers from this endemic.
