The course of Europe will be set in the next EU elections
Each year during the Eurocadres General Assembly, a number of resolutions are put forward. This year on 5 November, one of them was calling for a stronger EU.
A resolution emphasising the added value of European cooperation in relation to the EU elections in 2019 was adopted. The EU is built on democratic values including social rights, equality and freedom of speech. Investment in people and their skills will create a European Union, which is good and safe to live in.
The resolution also points out to our continuous work on EU-wide whistleblower protection. As a fundamental goal, the EU needs to support those who dare to speak up about wrongdoings. Not only from a money-saving perspective does the EU need strong horizontal whistleblower protection, but also for health, safety and environmental perspectives.
